Define happiness?

Dear dreamers,

Happiness to me is not a concrete construct. Happiness is not to be achieved, it is to be discovered within the core of the soul to guide a way of living. Happiness is a concept made of fragments which each contribute to feeling good within ourselves. It’s a profusion of feelings which collectively manufactures a structure. This structure is the foundations of a positive and healthy mindset. It combines elements which build upon one another and are composed through copious emotions which are unbounded and cannot be exactly defined. Happiness, to me Continue reading Define happiness?

Journey to your dreams

Dear dreamers,

To inspire you to never give up on your dreams or doubt your ability to accomplish them, here is an entry I thought I’d share that I wrote in a diary a few months ago.

If you can dream it, you can do it. It won’t be easy, and you will need to work damn hard for it. But if you feel the ache in your heart every day of wanting something so incredibly badly, you will get it. You won’t stop until you do. You will start to build stepping stones toward a journey that fate will encourage you to pursuit. You’ll achieve the smallest of goals first, and then it will come to the point where your efforts are subconscious. One day you’ll wake up and your wildest dreams will have come true. And you’ll wonder how you did it. And then you’ll remember the conversations you had with your best friends at 2am and how it feels to look at the stars, how many times you smiled each time you thought your world had been torn apart, you’ll remember pouring your heart out to someone who never loved you back, and the sound of your favourite artist on the radio, and the places Continue reading Journey to your dreams

Reflection: 2016

Dear dreamers,

Since 2016 has almost come to an end, it’s time to reflect upon the year and all the life changing experiences I’ve encountered since the year started. If I could say one thing about 2016, it’s that it’s widened my perspective a lot. I’ve learnt a lot of things and I’m extremely grateful for that. I’m thankful for the memories I’ve made with the most incredible friends. I’m thankful for experiencing some of the best days and nights of my life; ones I’ll never forget. I’m thankful that I’ve remained healthy, and that I’ve become more financially balanced. I’ve also become more grounded as a person and I appreciate the little things even more. I’m grateful for the way in which the magic of the universe has worked for me especially in the past few months; it’s opened up many doors for me and Continue reading Reflection: 2016

20 life tips

Dear dreamers,

Here are a few tips for life which have been inspired by lessons that I have learned through challenges I have overcome throughout the past few years of my life. I have found that the more I learn throughout my journey the more I become accustomed to putting these lessons into practice.

1. don’t dwell on the past. it can’t be changed. learn from your mistakes, trust that time will heal all wounds. always move forward and don’t regret. mistakes allow you to grow.

2. although it’s natural to feel jealousy, never become so jealous of a person that it turns into anger and hatred. they’ll be doing just fine but it will completely consume and destroy you.

3. never give up. if you have a consistent positive and optimistic mindset, you can achieve what you desire. don’t let obstacles get in your way. choose to perceive failure as an opportunity to keep trying until you succeed. dreams can come true, i promise. Continue reading 20 life tips

Midnight thoughts

Dear dreamers,

I thought I’d share what’s keeping me up at night, since times like these are one of the reasons I decided to create this blog. Firstly, I’d like to say that although I am a generally positive person, much like every other person, I do have to deal with some elements of negativity in my life. The more I do the more I learn, and the more I learn through these experiences the more I progress as a person and my mind gets that little bit wiser. So sometimes, a little negativity can be healthy for the mind. My advice to anyone would be to surround yourself with positive people; those who lift your spirits and believe in your abilities to accomplish great things. People who supply nothing but negativity to your own personal energy are toxic to your mental health and can create doubt which hinders your ability to achieve (if you let it). There are some people in life that you may encounter who seem to only have bad things to say about you or find ways to condescend and belittle you, regardless of how well they know you. These people feed off of negative reactions from you and want to create a version of you from their own perspective that is inferior to Continue reading Midnight thoughts
