Life’s too short

Dear dreamers,

I thought I’d share my thoughts on something which has occupied a lot of my mind today. I’m sure every single person on this earth has heard the phrase ‘life’s too short’, which usually exemplifies making the most out of life, because it passes by more quickly than you can notice on a day to day basis. Today I really thought about this phrase, and began to truly understand just how fitting it is. I reflected on specific past experiences where I felt like I had spent too much time pleasing other people, that I started to lose sight of myself and failed to do what was best for myself at times. I even went as far as to choose somebody else’s satisfaction over my own health. And then I realised that I don’t want to encourage a single person to live like that. I cannot stress enough how important it is to live your life for yourself, do what makes you happy, and to never sacrifice your happiness for the sake of somebody else. Because life’s too short to do otherwise. At the end of the day, it is only you who is living your life. As much as you can try and describe your experiences and others may have had similar, only you truly know exactly how you feel at all times. There are secrets you share between you and yourself. You are the person that’s in control of how you live your life. You do not share the exact same mind as any other person. It’s factors like this which show how important you really are, to yourself. You wouldn’t be you… without you?  It’s important that you always strive to be the best version of yourself, for you. It’s important that you make time to spend some time alone, and that you endeavour learning more about yourself; what makes you feel safe, what makes you feel happy, and act in tune with these thoughts to make the most of your life. It’s important to make yourself happy.

A thought on destiny

Dear dreamers,

You must learn to acknowledge that destiny has no boundaries. Some paths will join and it’s inevitable. You stumble into perfect situations with poor timing, but fate always has a plan. Destiny attracts the purest forms of love, through people, places and passion. And when you have that feeling, that one feeling that changes the way you look at a person, when you look them in the eyes and know that they’re something special, you can never be wrong. Seek out adventure in every form of love you have in your heart. Go after what makes your heart beat out of rhythm and treasure it with every ounce of energy in your soul. Go and get the feeling of warm sunshine radiating on your face. Go and get that electric feeling of holding the person you adore more than anyone, and appreciate every tiny detail. Go after everything that makes you feel alive because those things were made for you. Go after what makes you want to dance with joy, or climb a mountain, or marry a person. Put your whole heart into your life and results will show; it can lead you to the most beautiful journey. When you feel magic in someone, never let them go. Energy is crucial, and through it everything connects. Feed positive energy into your mind and follow the signs destiny provides you; it will always lead you in the direction that was meant for you. Appreciate people for who they are and never hesitate to show your love because they might need it just as much as you. Pursue anything that makes you feel intensely happy, and don’t stop until you get it. Your destiny awaits you.

The simplest advice

Dear dreamers,

Another journal entry I found, for anyone who may need it right now.

Wake up. Stop living in the past. Stop drowning yourself in worry. Enlighten your mind. Find your muse and embrace every single bit of creativity you own. Fulfill it in the best way possible. You created your own universe, so why are you complaining? If you don’t like it, change it. Because you alone have the power to do so. If you’re not satisfied with something in your life, do something about it rather than sitting around waiting for change. Appreciate every little thing. Be productive. Love more. Learn from your mistakes but don’t dwell on them. Live fast, live young, be infinite. Because life’s too short and you hear that phrase a lot. Don’t spend your final hours on this earth regretting all the things you didn’t do. Change your life while you can. You’re young, and you’re only getting wiser. Be kind, be gracious, be determined. Your capabilities are endless. You can do anything you put your mind to. Never let negative thoughts consume you. Take care of yourself. Don’t let a minute of life pass you by, because time is a crucial concept that the universe created. Because time is something which exists in each and every one of us. Let your life be a movie. Live, live, live, live, live and live more. Never look back. Every struggle you’ve been through will only make your heart stronger and your mind wiser. Stop feeling guilty for having feelings which are valid. Take spontaneous road trips. Sing your heart out when you’re happy. You’re beautiful in your own way. You’re unique and you’re special and your worth is formidable and believe me, you don’t want to be anybody else. Be open, be honest, be carefree. Don’t overthink. Trust that everything will work out how it’s supposed to. Life isn’t easy, and you need to work hard. But with your little diamond of a mind, you can do it. Don’t let any obstacles stand in your way. There will be times when you feel defeated, but promise me you’ll never give up. Promise yourself you won’t stop until you get what you want. And never feel like you don’t deserve it. Live life. And keep going. Make the most of the life you’re given and live it at a hundred miles an hour. Keep living until you achieve your wildest fantasies, because you only get one chance at this life, and oh what an adventure it can be.

More life tips

Dear dreamers,

In light of an earlier post ’20 life tips’ I have decided to share more life lessons that I have learned through my past experiences as well as those around me. I hope that they inspire and encourage you.

♡ —- part two —- ♡

1.don’t be disheartened by failure. use it as an opportunity for guidance and strength. you’ll get there.

2.choose to channel your energies into productive things which will make your life happier and more enjoyable. these things allow you to flourish as a person.

3.listen to your body. your health is a key priority.

4.do what makes you happy because your life is only yours. accomplish as much as possible and remain determined.

5.dedicate time to a hobby or a particular interest, such as sports or blogging. engagement in these are refreshing and can minimise stress.

6.never lessen yourself because of the actions or decisions of somebody else. they don’t make you any less deserving of what you want.

7.understand that worrying has no use. choose to focus on how you are going to respond to your obstacles rather than looking back on them. every day is a new opportunity to reinvent yourself.

8.trust in the universe. the energy that you put into the universe will be reciprocated. cultivate your thoughts wisely. what you think, you attract.

9.accept that you will not be one hundred percent happy every single day. it’s okay not to be okay sometimes. take the pressure off yourself a little.

10.try your hardest not to put things off. if you want something, act on it now. time is our greatest enemy. don’t allow it to be paired with regret.

Define happiness?

Dear dreamers,

Happiness to me is not a concrete construct. Happiness is not to be achieved, it is to be discovered within the core of the soul to guide a way of living. Happiness is a concept made of fragments which each contribute to feeling good within ourselves. It’s a profusion of feelings which collectively manufactures a structure. This structure is the foundations of a positive and healthy mindset. It combines elements which build upon one another and are composed through copious emotions which are unbounded and cannot be exactly defined. Happiness, to me, is a cup of warm coffee whilst watching the sunrise. It’s the pensive feel of walking above autumn leaves accompanied by the sound of birds singing. The feeling of accomplishing something you’ve only ever dreamt of. It’s stargazing and feeling connected to the comforts of the universe. It’s the appreciation of art, or reading your favourite book while it rains outside. It’s the feeling of humbleness, and late night talks with the people you love most. It’s the sun shining through the curtains on a spring morning, and discovering new music. It’s the carefree feeling of driving fast with the windows down, and watching your friends laugh to their hearts’ content. It’s feeling inspired by a new poem, or by listening to somebody’s deepest desires. Happiness is sempiternal. It stems from an abundance of small things, and adds up to create a beautiful picture. It’s the stimulation which aids a person to pursue their wildest dreams.

Journey to your dreams

Dear dreamers,

To inspire you to never give up on your dreams or doubt your ability to accomplish them, here is an entry I thought I’d share that I wrote in a diary a few months ago.

If you can dream it, you can do it. It won’t be easy, and you will need to work damn hard for it. But if you feel the ache in your heart every day of wanting something so incredibly badly, you will get it. You won’t stop until you do.You will start to build stepping stones toward a journey that fat e will encourage you to pursuit. You’ll achieve the smallest of goals first, and then it will come to the point where your efforts are subconscious. One day you’ll wake up and your wildest dreams will have come true. And you’ll wonder how you did it. And then you’ll remember the conversations you had with your best friends at 2am and how it feels to look at the stars, how many times you smiled each time you thought your world had been torn apart, you’ll remember pouring your heart out to someone who never loved you back, and the sound of your favourite artist on the radio, and the places you’ve visited that changed your life, and you’ll remember the times you cried yourself to sleep wishing upon something you thought could never be. You’ll remember the best and worst days of your life. One day you’ll realise that you created it all. You’ll realise that it was inside you the whole time. The reason you always found it so hard to chase your dreams was because they were waiting for you all along. You never thought you could achieve something because you saw it as the size of a mountain when really our existence is a speckle on a map. All you had to do was make it happen. With determination comes faith. With faith comes the path to make your dreams become reality. The path is often winding and tempted with misdirection, but as long as your perspective is fixed on the end destination, you will make it. You’ll make it because you’re made up of the ground beneath every single step. Every day that you wake up with the mindset that you will achieve what you truly desire, the closer you will be to the end of the path. All your life you thought your dreams were too big. Sometimes, impossible. But the more you acknowledge that the universe is the biggest wonder of our existence, if the sun can have the earth and the stars can have the moon then the more you will come to realise that you can create your greatest ambitions. And if you believe in yourself, that’s all you really need.

Remember that staying connected to the universe is key to taking steps toward your dreams. I’ll write a post explaining this in further detail soon. Thank you for reading.

Reflection: 2016

Dear dreamers,

Since 2016 has almost come to an end, it’s time to reflect upon the year and all the life changing experiences I’ve encountered since the year started. If I could say one thing about 2016, it’s that it’s widened my perspective a lot. I’ve learnt a lot of things and I’m extremely grateful for that. I’m thankful for the memories I’ve made with the most incredible friends. I’m thankful for experiencing some of the best days and nights of my life; ones I’ll never forget. I’m thankful that I’ve remained healthy, and that I’ve become more financially balanced. I’ve also become more grounded as a person and I appreciate the little things even more. I’m grateful for the way in which the magic of the universe has worked for me especially in the past few months; it’s opened up many doors for me and I’m excited to see what the future holds. I’m grateful for getting my heart broken, because although it was one of the hardest things I’ve ever dealt with it’s made me a much more confident, carefree and loving person and I wouldn’t have changed it for the world. Some of the days I spent with them will always be some of my best memories. Most importantly I’ve learnt that life goes on and that things aren’t usually as bad as they seem. Sometimes it’s worth being knocked to the ground for the sake of being reborn into a much stronger person than ever before. It’s worth sharing feelings because it can lead to a beautiful journey; whether it’s with that person or whether it’s a journey of gratitude within yourself. I advise anybody reflecting on the past year to consider the most important lessons that you have learnt, but also to reflect on the choices you made and the paths they led you to. I urge anybody to enter 2017 with a positive mindset, and to be focused on achieving your greatest ambitions. If you channel this energy every day, the universe will show you the steps you need to take in order to progress toward obtaining your goals. Aim to be the best version of yourself possible. Be kind because the world needs more of that. Don’t let anybody take you for granted. Carry yourself in a way that reflects how you wish to be perceived by others. Believe in yourself. Take risks. Stay humble. Live more. Love more. Never give up on your dreams.

Best wishes for the new year.

Sincerely,
